The BCCI would like to inform our valued members that the International Solar Alliance (ISA), in collaboration with the Renewables Academy (RENAC), Germany has planned to conduct an Advanced Bankers’ Training Program on solar project development for the ISA’s member countries. The training program is designed to provide necessary expertise needed to assess, structure and finance solar projects successfully. Given that the solar energy will be the future dominant energy source, it is strongly recommended to attend the training by all relevant agencies. The training will be delivered through a combination of online courses and live virtual sessions to be concluded by expert trainers from RENAC, which is spread over a 4-month period. The participants will be issued a certificate upon the completion of the program.
The objective of the advanced training programme is to train bankers from ISA member countries with the necessary expertise to assess, structure, and finance solar projects successfully. After the trainings, participants should be able to:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and risk assessment for solar projects using advanced techniques.
- Structure and negotiate favourable financing arrangements, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), loan agreements, and structured finance instruments.
- Employ advanced quantitative risk modelling techniques and risk diversification strategies for solar project portfolios.
- Navigate the regulatory landscape and manage policy risks effectively.
- Integrate ESG considerations and international climate agreements into solar project financing decisions.
Kindly note that the registration closing date is on 20th October. The BCCI encourages all the relevant and interested private sector entities to register for this course.
