The Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) is in receipt of letter from Department of Agricultural Marketing & Cooperatives (DAMC), Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock clarifying certain misinformation regarding the requirement to route all potato exports through Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL). This letter clearly confirms that exporters are never restricted from exporting directly and FCBL is simply positioned as one of the options to facilitate potato exports.
Given this clarification, the BCCI would like to urge interested potatoes exporters to kindly register with the DAMC for facilitation of smooth export trade through various export gateways.
