This is with reference to letter No MoF/DRC/CUS-TTU-01/2021/152 dated 9th August 2021 from Ministry of Finance, Thimphu regarding the Revision of Customs Duty rates to benefit the consumers in wake of the ongoing pandemic. The flat rate of 10% customs duty is expected to help reduce inflation and provide consumers with quality goods at affordable prices.
The Ministry of Finance will solicit the support of the Office of Consumer Protection and we would like to raise awareness on consumers’ rights on access to quality goods at affordable prices while also discouraging unfair trade practices.
